CWA Local 1032 Scholarship

CWA Local 1032 Scholarship Program awards $1,000 to member’s children entering their first year of college. The application deadline is May 14, 2021. Interested applicants, please contact the local for more details.


Joe Beirne Scholarship Program

Sixteen partial college scholarships of $4,000 each are being offered for the 2021-2022 school year. Winners, selected in a lottery drawing, also will receive second-year scholarships of the same amount contingent upon satisfactory academic accomplishment.  Part-time students, less than 12 credits, will receive half of the scholarship monies.

Eligible for the awards are CWA members and their spouses, children and grandchildren, including those of retired or deceased members.


Union Plus Scholarships

Since 1991, the Union Plus Scholarship Program has awarded more than $4.8 million to students of working families who want to begin or continue their post-secondary education.

More than 3,200 families have benefited from our commitment to higher education. In 2020, 215 union members and union family members were awarded #300,000 in Union Plus Scholarships, ranging from $750 – $4,000.

Eligible for the awards are current and retired members of participating unions, their spouses, and their dependent children.
