Congratulations to the Parents & Students who have won a CWA Local 1032 Scholarship! Each will be awarded a $1000 Scholarship upon completion of their first semester.

Apply for the Beirne Foundation Scholarship for 2025-2026

The CWA Joe Beirne Scholarship Program will award 16 partial college scholarships of $4,000 each for two years for the 2025-2026 academic year. CWA members, their spouses, children, and grandchildren are eligible for the scholarships, including the dependents of retired, laid-off, or deceased members.

Applications are available at cwa.org/beirne-application. The deadline to apply is April 30, 2025.

The Beirne scholarship program is made possible by funding from CWA locals.

Union Plus Scholarships

Since 1991, the Union Plus Scholarship Program has awarded more than $4.8 million to students of working families who want to begin or continue their post-secondary education.

More than 3,200 families have benefited from our commitment to higher education. In 2020, 215 union members and union family members were awarded #300,000 in Union Plus Scholarships, ranging from $750 – $4,000.

Eligible for the awards are current and retired members of participating unions, their spouses, and their dependent children.
